Born in the rugged beauty of Lake Tahoe, Piste-Off Games emerged from a simple revelation: the most meaningful connections happen when we step away from screens and immerse ourselves in nature.
As an outdoor enthusiast living among the Sierra Nevada mountains, I’ve spent countless days hiking trails, camping under stars, and finding adventure in wild places. These experiences shaped my perspective, echoing John Muir’s wisdom that “Most people are on the world, not in it.”
Piste-Off Games bridges this gap. Our name—a playful nod to going “off-piste” in skiing—represents our commitment to creating experiences that take players off the beaten path. We create and curate tabletop games that capture the spirit of outdoor adventure while incorporating natural elements in their design and gameplay. Talus Tumble, our flagship game featuring hand-carved rock pieces inspired by nature’s precarious formations, embodies our philosophy: games should be tactile, thought-provoking, and connect us to the natural world.
